Delete your data

    The short version. UpNew has no accounts — your data is tied only to an anonymous identifier on your device. You can wipe everything from inside the app in a few seconds. If you also want us to remove any server-side records tied to your device, email us and we'll handle it within 30 days.
  

1. Delete from inside the app

This is the fastest path and covers most users. It permanently removes your on-device data and disconnects future analytics.

Open the UpNew app.
Go to Profile → Data.
Tap "Delete my data" and confirm.

What the in-app button removes

Your scan history stored on the device.
Your anonymous device identifier (a new one is generated if you use the app again).
Your consent to analytics and attribution tracking (PostHog, AppsFlyer) — future events are no longer collected.

2. Full server-side deletion

To also remove any historical records we hold on our servers (cosmetic scores, generated renderings, analytics events already sent), email us with your device's anonymous identifier:

How to find your anonymous identifier

Your anonUid is visible on the same Profile → Data screen inside the app. Copy it into your email so we know which records to remove.

What we do when you email us

Delete cosmetic scores, timestamps, and any cached "New You" rendering tied to your anonUid from our servers.
Submit deletion requests to our processors (PostHog, AppsFlyer) for events linked to your anonUid.
Confirm completion by email.

We aim to complete deletion within 30 days of receiving the request.

3. What we cannot delete

App Store / Play Store purchase records. If you subscribed to UpNew Pro, Apple or Google keep the receipt on their side. You can request deletion from them directly.
Aggregated, anonymised metrics that no longer identify you (e.g. "how many scans happened last week"). These stay in our analytics.
Anything required by law to be kept — for example tax records tied to a purchase.

4. Uninstalling is not enough

Uninstalling the app removes local files but does not delete records on our servers or in our analytics providers. Use the in-app button before uninstalling, or email us afterwards with your anonUid if you have it saved.
